"Mas Y Mas knocked up pop and coked up rock; they hotboxed funk and outfoxed punk. They shot the sheriff, the deputy and Mr. Burns, and somehow still found the time to throw a house party where the girls are down to their bras by eleven. Yep, they’re pretty much goofy lunatics, firing out music that’s raucous, ecstatic and one high-pitched yelp away from ridonculous. In other words, get ready to flush your Adderall and hook up the pony keg. The Unicorns-times-two have just arrived and they’re not leaving till the whole block is rocked, stoned and totally TPed. Or hold on a second actually. I just listened to their great EP, Latin Outreach, again and I’m thinking maybe I went too far there.
On further review, only three out of five songs really fit under the headings of “schizophrenic,” “manic” and “riotous.” The last two, “Jenny Says” and “Ruby Ain’t Teen,” hint at something like maturity, with prettier if still noisy melodies and a single mood that’s sustained throughout. They still rock reliably and rowdily of course; they still sound just as fresh and fun as their balls-to-the-wall brothers. But somebody has to be the responsible one around here, to suggest maybe cutting back the party to six nights a week. Okay, okay, six-and-a-half nights tops."

"El grupo que posteo hoy se llama Mas y Mas [sic], es de Washington D.C . y lo que pongo es una de esas canciones que tras la escucha dejan una sensación que dice pulsando: "esta pudo haber sido tremenda canción". Es un caso más bien común. Estas escuchando la canción, te está gustando y en medio del cabeceo empieza un solo de guitarra de cuatro minutos, un coro gospel pero en plan de agudos, una flauta de pan o qué sé yo, unos gemidos de Bono. Ugh.En este caso el asunto va de algo bastante más visto y de presupuesto ordinario: el cantante no se calla ni un minuto. Escuchen lo que está más abajo y díganme si no pudo haber sido todo un rock anthem tan sólo si el cantante hubiese cerrado la boca en vez de ponerse, no sé, a rapear, a hablar, a pedir otro espejo que este se partió. En el minuto 1:25 la canción despega y uno que piensa que todo va a estar bien, termina escuchando una lista de supermercado. Y ya, de repente se acaba la canción. Aparte, es imposible conseguir una foto del grupo, por lo que pongo imágenes de otro grupo llamado Matt & Kim, de quienes subo una canción llamada "Verbs Before Nouns". ¿Qué tienen que ver Matt & Kim con Mas y Mas preguntan? Pues que estaban al lado en el iTunes, que más."
